A Chinese baby boy, who was pronounced dead and spent a night in a -12 degrees Celcius morgue, woke up crying just before he was about to be cremated, local TV station reported.
Personnel from the Pan'an Funeral Home in Jinhua, Zhejiang province, were beginning to prepare the baby for cremation on Friday when the incident occurred. The newborn baby, who spent 15 hours in the morgue, was being pulled out from the refrigerator when workers noticed that the newborn began moaning, according to Channel Six of Zhejiang Television. The workers immediately informed the father and canceled the cremation.

The father rushed the prematurely born boy to the hospital where the boy is now being under observation in an incubator. Reports reveal that the newborn was seven-month old when delivered on Jan. 8 at the Pan'an People's Hospital in Zhejiang.
According to Channel Six, Lu, the boy's father, insisted on taking the baby out of the incubator a week earlier despite the doctor's advice to wait and take him home during the Chinese New Year. After two days, the family noticed that the boy's face turned pale. They rushed him back to the hospital on Feb. 4, but his condition had reportedly deteriorated. Dr. Chen Shuanghua, the pediatrician, pronounced the baby dead because of the absence of breathing and heartbeat.
After a death certificate was issued, the father wrapped his son with two layers of blanket and took him to a morgue.
With this miraculous turn of event, Dr Chen admitted that "Having been a paediatrician for over 20 years, I can't really understand how this miracle happened." However, Dr Chen warned that the newborn's survival rate is relatively low.
Meanwhile, the morgue staff have been criticized for neglecting to double check and confirm the baby's death before issuing a death certificate.
