'Ice Age 5' Trailer Released in China

The first full length trailer of the animated film 'Ice Age 5' was has been released for Chinese fans.
The fifth installment of the much-loved franchise, which stars a funny looking squirrel named Scrat, follows the loved squirrel as he continues to get into trouble because of his habit of chasing after acorns. But, instead of Scrat chasing after acorns through the river or the forest, 'Ice Age 5' is actually set in outer space.

According to movie site IMDB, 'Ice Age 5' follows Scrat as he continues his pursuit of the elusive acorn he has been chasing around since the first Ice Age film. The chase catapults Scrat to outer space where he accidentally sets off a series of cosmic events that would transform and threaten the earth.
Meanwhile, back on earth, Manny, Sid, Diego, and the rest of the herd are forced to leave their home and embark on a quest full of highs and lows, as well as laughter and adventure. They travel to exotic new lands and encounter a host of colorful new characters as well as a new enemy, who happens to be the brother of one of their previous nemesis.
The animated film took more than a year to make and was directed by Mike Thurmeier and Galen T. Chu, the duo worked with screenwriters Michael Berg and Aubrey Solomon.
The cast from the previous Ice Age films will still be part of the movie, but in addition to them, new characters voiced by Melissa Rouch, Singer Jessie J and former Nickelodeon child star Keke Palmer will also make appearances in the animated film.
'Ice Age 5' will be released worldwide on July 22nd, 2016.
