It was originally known that the FBI at Kennedy Airport apprehended Donald Ray Morgan due to a gun charge, but reports now show agents questioned him for over two hours in hopes of being able to identify Islamic State supporters who could potentially bring violence to the United States.
Wanted for selling weapons over the Internet, 44-year-old Donald Morgan is known for converting to Muslim and creating pro-extremist tweets showing allegiance to Islamic State leader Abu Baker al-Baghdadi.

The agents wanted to know if he had traveled to Syria and if he's had any involvement with the militant group in any way - but the main focus of the questioning was to gather any information that can identify any IS extremists with ties to the U.S that could potentially be returning to America.
According to Federal officials, at least 100 Americans could be fighting with extremists in Northern and Western Iraq. A converted-Islam woman from Colorado wanted to travel to Syria in hopes of marrying a fighter she met online, but was quickly arrested before the attempt. Even a man from Texas later admitted he wanted to join the group as he tried to board a flight to Turkey.
Due to a number of foreigners, including Europeans, who have traveled to aid the militant group, Joint Chiefs Chairman Martin Dempsey stressed during a Pentagon news conference that the Islamic State is an "immediate threat."
"And those folks can go home at some point," he said.
Despite Morgan admitting he's a committed Muslim and he must support and impose Sharia law, he denied having any knowledge of extremists traveling overseas and back to the U.S. However, a judge appointed him to be held without bail and face the gun charge in North Carolina, as it was argued that Morgan still possessed the opportunity to supply weapons overseas to extremists.
