Hip Hop artist and producer Dr. Dre is rumored to be working with tech giant Apple to produce and star in an original television show. Dr. Dre is the co-founder of Beats Music and is also an Apple executive.

Insiders, privy to information about the project, claim that the show is currently titled "Vital Signs." The show will be an Apple Music project and will be exclusively available through Apple TV.

If these rumors are true, "Vital Signs" will be Apple's first ever foray into the television industry. Sources are still unsure about the exact release of the TV project.

Dr. Dre will be the executive producer of "Vital Signs." The show will star Sam Rockwell along with Mo McRae. Paul Hunter will sit as the director of the series.

Tech analysts have long anticipated this project, ever since Apple ventured into the living room market through its Apple TV device. Market studies show that a huge chunk of users still prefer the TV-living room setup.

Apple will be facing a lot of competition in this project. Established brands like Roku, Google Chromecast and Netflix are currently dominating the TV market.
