The death toll in Syrian conflict exceeds more than 191,000 people over the past three years, the United Nations reported on Friday.
U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay expressed her disappointment upon finding a total of 191, 369 number of deaths documented from three years of Syria’s civil war, reports said.

Pillay's spokesman Rupert Colville said that they cross-examined the report of Geneva office based on data collected from four rebel groups and the Syrian government excluding inaccuracies and duplications.
Pillay, who leaves her post this month, told the media that the international paralysis and traverse national agendas authorized the extremists in Syria to end hundreds of thousands of lives.
According to some reports, Pillay called on world powers on the U.N. Security Council to refer serious allegations of war crimes and crimes against humanity committed in Syria's conflict to the International Criminal Court (ICC).
The governments needed to take serious actions to halt the conflict and prevent the crimes to fully avoid human catastrophe by cutting off military supplies and deploying human rights monitoring missions in Syria, Pillay declared.
She adds that she sincerely regretted the expansion of armed conflicts which push humanitarian disasters go off international radar, referring to the UN Security Council standoff.
Pillay explained that even though there is an improvement on the council’s commitment to human rights during her term, members have no firm and ethical decision yet in putting an end to crises.
Some sources reported that she firmly believes that the council’s greater responsiveness to act as one could save hundreds of thousands of lives. Collective interest – clearly defined by the UN charter – is the national interest of every state, Pillay added.
