A group of around 20 girls were caught on camera in a violence spree hitting each other and even innocent bystanders.
The video uploaded on Chinese social media website Sina Weibo, Twitter's Chinese alternative, has gone viral racking up thousands of views.
The event happened in the afternoon of March 20 at a highschool in Laibin City, a part of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The video shows a gang of teenage girls holding steel pipes and other weapons, hitting anyone in their path.
Although there were many onlookers, no one tried to stop the girls. As the violence continues, people can be heard laughing behind the camera.
Authorities said that the incident stemmed from an online feud between the girls who are involved in a gang war.
Chinese netizens referred to the girls as the female version of Young and Dangerous, Chinese film about gangs who fight and kill for glory.
Police said that no one was seriously injured.
