British Prime Minister David Cameron has called for additional funding to address mental health problems in England.
According to the BBC, Cameron expressed his concerns about the underfunded mental health care that leads to "thousands of tragic and unnecessary death."
"We should be frank. We have not done enough to end the stigma of mental health," said Cameron. "We have focused a lot on physical health and we have not as a country focused enough on mental health."

Cameron's concern was prompted by a NHS Task Force report which revealed that around three-quarters of the people with mental health problems have not received any assistance at all.
One in four people are believed to have mental problems yearly. Seventy-five percent of these people received no help.
To address this concern, Cameron announced that the government will take action. The NHS in England and private companies have been urged to treat mental health conditions early on by providing easy access to mental care.
People, who are struggling with mental health issues, will be given help for employment or to return to their existing work.
Almost three in every five people, who are struggling with mental health problems, are unable to work. This is despite the fact that employment can play a major role during treatment.
Also, an additional £1 billion will be given to NHS every year to make mental and physical health on equal footing.
"This is a landmark moment for mental health care in this country, a once-in-a-generation opportunity to transform services and support for people with mental health problems. We are saying to the NHS, to government, to industry, to local leaders and to the public that mental health must be a priority for everyone in England," said Mind Chief Executive Officer Paul Farmer, the leader of the Task Force.
