CBA Recap: Sichuan Blue Whales Demolish Zhejiang Guangsha Lions to Maintain Lead of the Series 2-0

(Photo : gettyimages.com) Justin Dentmon paced the Sichuan Blue Whales with 32 points with 4 rebounds and 7 assists as the team walloped the Guangsha Zhejiang Lions.
Sichuan Blue Whales maintain their hold of the lead of the series after hammering Zhejiang Guangsha Lions 131-118 in their quarterfinal campaign in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Wednesday night, to lead the series 2-0.
Sichuan, which won the first game with a 41-point margin, controlled almost the entire game increasing their lead in the first three quarters of the match and pounding the Lions with their better shot selections and good ball movements.

The Blue Whales ended the first half with a 23-point lead advantage 75-52 as they headed to the locker room. They started the third quarter by storming Guangsha with their better offensive attacks, outscoring the Lions with a 35-32 point production to establish a 26-point gap 110-84 ending the third period of the game.
The Blue Whales dominated the rebounds department, outrebounding the Lions with a team-combined 52 boards against the 32 of Guangsha, including a 21-10 advantage in offensive rebounds that allowed Sichuan for second shot opportunities.
The winning team also moved and passed the ball well, registering a team-combined 27 assists compared to the 14 passes made by the Lions. The Blue Whales made 29-of-36 charity shots shooting 80.6 percent from the foul line, as they took advantage of the 32 personal fouls committed by Guangsha.
American reinforcement Justin Dentmon, who played with the University of Washington, paced Sichuan with a team-high 32 points with 4 rebounds and 7 assists while Mike Harris added 26 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists.
Chinese forward Meng Da finished the night with 18 points while the former NBA player and Iranian veteran center Hamed Haddadi had an impressive double-double game performance of 28 points and 19 rebounds to go along with 7 assists for the victors.
Guangsha's Taiwanese guard Chi-Chieh Lin beats all scorers scoring 41 points to go along with 7 rebounds and 3 assists while the 25-year-old University of Detroit product Elijah Holman contributed 30 points with 9 rebounds and 1 assists.
Former NBA player Jeremy Pargo chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds for the Lions.
