Nicki Minaj's Dancer Gets Bitten By Boa Constrictor During Rehearsal

A female backup dancer of pop singer Nicki Minaj got bitten by a Boa constrictor measuring six feet long.
The incident happened during a rehearsal for Minaj's hit song "Anaconda" for the MTV Video Music Awards.
The dancer's fellow performers looked on in fright as the giant snake slithered to the woman and bit her. Boa constrictors don't strike unless they feel threatened, so many believe that the woman had unintentionally startled the animal.

Personnel managed to catch the snake and place it in a container. The animal was removed from the stage.
The woman was then rushed to a Los Angeles hospital.
Capt. Rory Brunner of the fire department, who was one of those who responded, shared, "[bringing her to the hospital] was just to make sure she was okay."
Although Boa constrictors are not venomous, they can transmit bacteria through their saliva which can lead to an infection.
Boa constrictors are named such because they constrict and squeeze the life out of their prey before eating them.
There is no news yet whether or not the snake will still be part of the live telecast, if it will be replaced or if a snake will still be part of the show this Sunday.
Minaj's "Anaconda" music video managed to break Vevo records by garnering 19.6 million views on YouTube in 24 hours. The previous title holder was Miley Cyrus' music video, "Wrecking Ball".
The singer tweeted that the video is so raunchy, it might not even be shown on TV.
"I really doubt I'll be able to edit this video for TV. LMFAO. it's..... Its a lot," she tweeted.
One Twitter user posted that he isn't exactly a Nicki Minaj fan, but he shared, "just watched the snippet for the anaconda video. the video miiiiiight make me tolerate the song (sic)."
