Although Online Heists have yet to receive a release date, which is one of the most anticipated DLCs for GTA V, new leaked information could have some insight on the next 1.17 update that would consist of new weapons being implemented to the Online experience.

According to a recent leak by a hacker enthusiast named "St3v3hacker," GTA V fans may be able to experience new weaponry including a flare gun, a rifle and even thermite bombs. St3v3hacker came across this information when searching through textrue files in the GTA's latest 1.16 update.

YouTube gamer "DomisLive" with about 400,000 subscribers, confirms that St3v3hacker is a credible source when it comes to leaking information. The hacker was one of the first people to leak information including the golden paint jobs, the pure black window tint and pink and brown tire smoke.

The flare gun is said to be available in multiple colors and could potentially be used to call in airstrikes much faster, used in future Heists missions, or it could simply be used to catch other players on fire - that detail is still unknown.

The thermite bomb is actually the most destructive hand grenade used by U.S. soldiers, as it produces a molten iron and intense heat of up to 4,000 degrees Fahrenheit through a chemical reaction.

This extreme heat will make thermite bombs good for destroying weapon caches, bunkers and vehicles - I'd also assume that it could do some damage to a tank as well. Considering thermite is even able to burn underwater, the bombs could be released with the Heists DLC for GTA V Online fans to use in missions.

Rockstar Games were unable to keep their promise of bringing Heists to the Online experience in the spring, but have recently promised that it'll be available sometime this year.

When you consider the game receiving multiple updates (with the San Andreas Flight School being the latest), as well as developers trying to ready GTA V for the PS4 and Xbox One, you begin to understand why it hasn't been released quite yet. Let's just hope they can keep their promise of "sometime this year."
