Music video website 'Vevo' tweeted about the news saying that Minaj has grabbed the spot for most viewed video in just 24 hours. The spot was owned by Cyrus with the video of 'Wrecking Ball' last year.

So what are the figures? Cyrus wowed us all with the chains and the licking and that huge ball having over than 12 million views in just a day. Now how about that bootylicious music video with the special participation of Drake whom Minaj performed a lap dance to? Well, the video has had more than a whooping 19 million views 24 hours after it has been released on Vevo and YouTube.

Minaj was clearly proud and excited upon knowing about the news. Minaj took it to Twitter as she shared a screen grab from Vevo's tweet. Minaj captioned her photo on Instagram writing: "A$mazing." She has been trending on Twitter last week and she is hogging the spotlight again now.

Minaj was recently interviewed by ABC News days after her music video has been making headlines. Minaj opened up about what she wanted to get across the audience with the video she made. Minaj said that she wanted to reinstate something since hip-hop artists who are men are glorifying the less curvy body of women. Minaj wanted to tell all the curvy ladies out there that they are beautiful. Whether or not the video changed the mindset of the people, Minaj proudly said that she loves what she has done.

What might Cyrus say about Minaj topping 'Wrecking Ball'? The two are reportedly to sit right next to each other at the VMAs this Sunday. Minaj is set to perform two songs. She will be opening the VMAs with Ariana Grande and Jessie J with their collaborated single 'Bang Bang'. Minaj will also be performing 'Anaconda' on the VMA stage so fans are really anticipating what she will be bringing to the table.
