The father of Ferguson, Missouri teen Michael Brown, who was shot dead on August 9, made a plea for peace Sunday as he prepared to lay his son to rest the following day.

"All I want is peace," the grieving father, Michael Brown Sr., stated, referring to the unrest which has plagued Ferguson ever since the death of his son.

Michael Brown Jr., also known to his family and friends as 'Big Mike,' was fatally shot by a Ferguson police officer identified as Darren Wilson.

During a peace rally held at St. Louis' biggest city park, Brown appealed to the Ferguson community for amity among protesters and authorities for his son's upcoming funeral on Monday, stressing that it is all he wants.

He also expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the love and support that was given to him and his son's mother during these past difficult weeks.

Rev. Al Sharpton reiterated his call for peace, citing that they do not want anything that may defile Mike Brown Jr.'s memory to happen while he's being laid to rest.

Lesley McSpadden, Big Mike's mom, tearfully shared her own thoughts about the incident and offered her sincere thanks to the community for its love and support.

Meanwhile, the relatives of other young African-American men who have been the victims of allegedly racially-ignited shootings issued their own plea for justice as they too continue to grieve for their lost loved ones.

"We're going to stand tall with you all," declared Tracy Martin, slain Florida teen Trayvon Martin's father, while encouraging the members of the community to focus on strengthening family relationships and education for the youth of Ferguson.

Trayvon Martin was unarmed when he was fatally shot by a Florida neighborhood watch volunteer, George Zimmerman, over two years ago.

Zimmerman claimed self-defense and was acquitted of second-degree murder.

Oscar Grant's uncle, Cephus Johnson, also joined them during the Peace Fest which was already set to happen even prior to Big Mike's death.

Grant was shot in the back by law enforcement while he lay face down on the ground in Oakland, California in 2009.

The officer reportedly mistook his gun for a Taser and was sentenced to less than two years in jail after being found guilty of involuntary manslaughter.
