Cameroonian striker Albert Ebosse died after a game on Saturday when upset fans threw objects at the pitch during the JS Kabylie-USM Alger match, which the latter won 2-1.
At full time, teams JS Kabylie and USM Alger were retiring from the field. Kabylie was trailing early on in the game. In a penalty kick, Ebosse had scored the equalizing goal for his team. However, their efforts were not enough to win the game.

As the players were heading off the field, supporters of Kabylie on the stands became irate and started throwing all sorts of things at the players. One object hit Ebosse on the head, and he collapsed on the ground.
When he was rushed to a hospital in Tizi Ouzou, the east capital of Algiers, Ebosse had succumbed to his head injury. He was 24 years old.
Ebosse had spent his football career around the globe. He started playing in Cameroon, then moved on to Malaysia, and eventually to his current team, JS Kabylie.
He was the leading scorer of the league in the 2013-2014 season, scoring a total of 17 goals.
The interior minister for Algeria has launched a full-on investigation in the matter.
The opposing team was as devastated by the news as Kabylie.
Mahfoud Kerbadj, the league's president was present at the game. He described the unfortunate event as terrible for the national game.
The president of the Confederation of African Football, Issa Hayatou, echoed Kerbadj's sentiments.
He released a statement on the violence being showed at African football saying, "African football cannot be the breeding ground for hooliganism whatsoever. We expect exemplary sanctions to be taken against this grave act of violence."
While this is not the first time that football players had been hit in the head by whatever objects - Cristiano Ronaldo was struck by a lighter and Luis Figo got hit by a pig's head among others - this is the first time that one had died due to the fans' discontent at the game.
