This is the best time to buy the Microsoft Surface 2 because it's cheaper.
Microsoft is slashing a US$100 off the price tag of the Surface 2.
The 32GB Surface 2 model is now selling at US$349.99. It's an ARM variant that doesn't run legacy apps.
It comes with Microsoft Office and has access to the Windows Store that offers entertainment options.

Microsoft Surface 2 features a 10.6-inch display with a 1,920 x 1,080 resolution. It runs on NVIDIA's Tegra 4.
The cheaper 32 GB features 2 GB RAM and an accompanying fast microSD memory card slot.
WinBeta, a Microsoft-centered online community founded in 1998, reports that all models of the Surface 2 officially have the US$100 price cut.
The discount also includes the LTE model released back in March.
Other models with cut prices: the 64 GB Surface 2 is US$449 and the 64 GB Surface 2 LTE is now only US$579.
Microsoft's latest and probably its greatest tablet, Surface Pro 3, is currently competing against the Apple MacBook Air family.
Perhaps Microsoft is clearing out its inventory and preparing for something new for consumers while maintaining products aimed at more price-conscious buyers.
Surface 2 was first launched in October 2013.
