After months of speculations about their marriage and, after a woman even claimed that she was Blue Ivy's surrogate mother, the Carter family took to the VMA stage to put all rumors to rest.

During Beyonce's 2014 MTV VMA performance that ran more than 15 minutes, cameras caught her daughter, Blue Ivy happily singing along to her song "Drunk In Love", while sitting on the lap of her father, Jay Z. Jay Z was clearly amused at his daughter's display.

After the pop singer's performance, Jay Z took to the stage, with Blue Ivy on his hip, and presented his wife with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. The award and the whole Carter family onstage has been the most touching moments of VMA history so far.

Beyonce, who is usually poised and unwavering in public, couldn't help but tear up seeing her family onstage. Jay Z immediately tended to his wife, kissing her on the head while Beyonce kissed her family and Blue Ivy clapped.

Before handing her the moonman, Jay Z gave her a sweet kiss on the lips.

"And the recipient of the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award and the greatest living entertainer, Beyoncé," Jay Z announced as Beyonce smiled widely and bowed as she reached for the moonman.

The said award is also known as the Lifetime Achievement award. It is given to those who have had a significant impact on the MTV culture.

"Yah mommy," Blue Ivy cheered as her mom got the award.

Her voice cracked as the audience chanted her name. "I'm so full. I have nothing to say, but I feel so much gratitude. I thank God for this moment," she said.

She then turned to her family and said, "Boo boo I love you, my beloved I love you."

The Carter family then gave each other a last hug and walked off stage together.
