Rupert Murdoch and Jerry Hall staged a star-studded wedding in London on Friday. Approximately 100 guests were seen attending the ceremony. Many media and movie personalities reportedly graced the event.

British actor and author Sir Michael Caine was seen at the wedding as well as musical artist Sir Bob Geldof. Comedy actor Barry Humphries and English sculptor and painter Tracey Emin were also seen honoring the event. People from the media world were also present to witness the couple's exchange of vows.

The wedding was announced earlier this year and no one was surprised when it was printed in one of Murdoch's publication outfits - The Times. The declaration was posted in the marriages / deaths / births segment of the newspaper.

"Mr Rupert Murdoch, father of Prudence, Elisabeth, Lachlan, James, Grace and Chloe Murdoch, and Miss Jerry Hall, mother of Elizabeth, James, Georgia and Gabriel Jagger, are delighted to announce their engagement," the advertisement read.

Murdoch, 84, is a media magnate who owns a prominent companies such as News Corporation, News Limited, Harper Collins, BSkyB, The Wallstreet Journal, and 21st Century Fox.

Hall, 59, on the other hand, is a former actress-model whose career started in France following her discovery by a fashion agent. She was married to Rolling Stones member Mick Jagger for 22 years (1977 to 1999) with whom she has four children - Elizabeth (31), James (30), Georgia May (23), and Gabriel (18).

In October last year, news surfaced that Murdoch and Hall were dating. They were said to have fallen madly in love with each other after only a short period of time.
