As Apple users eagerly await to catch a glimpse of the MacBook Pro 2016, there are speculations that there could be further delay before the device finally hits the market.

This would not be the first time that Apple is postponing the release of a MacBook device for such a long time.

During the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June 2013, the American tech giant announced the release of Intel Xeon-based MacBook Pro - but it took about six months before the company finally started shipping the device. In fact, some shoppers have revealed that they got their orders in February and March 2014.

As for the MacBook Pro 2016, rumors indicate that a "lack of interest" in this particular Apple computer model could be the potential reason for the delays. Apple may have opted to focus its energy and expertise towards developing other products, like the Retina iMac.

Meanwhile, a report from Mac World UK claims that Apple is actually not phasing out the MacBook Pro model especially given that there is still a market for the powerful laptop computer by Apple. Rather, the company could just be devoting more time to improving rumored glitches that certain users have experienced with the previous update.

The MacBook Pro 2016 is expected to feature the highly-anticipated Intel Xeon E5 chips, and even the entry-level units could come with bigger RAM.

In terms of storage, Apple may consider making the 2TB flash storage available in the MacBook Pro 2016 upgrade.
