There have been rumors about Nintendo's plan for a direct broadcast of its new Super Smash Bros.
A member of NeoGAF, an internet forum that discusses video games, spread the rumor taking the news from a fake Nintendo Twitter account.
The false rumor said Nintendo in the U.S. announced it will air a new Nintendo direct broadcast this coming Friday about the 3DS version of the new Super Smash Bros.

Nintendo confirmed on its Twitter account on Monday that their broadcast will go live at 8:00 p.m. PST on August 30 at 4:00 a.m. GMT.
The gaming company promises to deliver new details of the portable version of the game soon.
The game will launch on October 3, ahead of the holiday release of the Wii U version.
There have been massive leaks about Super Smash Bros., which reveals Shulk from Xenoblade Chronicles, Bowser Jr., and Ganondorf as the newest additions to Nintendo's all-star brawler.
Masahiro Sakurai, series creator, recently said the game won't be released simultaneously across both platforms due to the need to debug each game.
"Checking is done both domestically and overseas, so for a game like Smash Bros., several hundred people are employed. So, debugging alone becomes a huge project. So much so that one of the biggest reasons for the separate release dates for the 3DS and Wii U versions was so that we could shift the debugging periods," said Sakurai.
The direct broadcast is probably Nintendo's response to all the leaks.
