The French flagship believes that having enticing meals served onboard is an integral part of getting the French experience for their passengers that begins the moment the step onto the plane.
It's a marketing strategy that they hope will attract customers into fly with them again - a move that other airlines are looking to mimic.
Recently, Cathay Pacific from Hong Kong, announced that it has teamed up with Uwe Opocensky from the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong, and Dean Yasharian from Hyde Park London, to create delectable in-flight meals worthy of a fine dining restaurant.
Another airline that is known for exceptional meal services is Qantas, which changes its menu every three months. The process involves the extensive expertise of their chefs and staff and can take up to 11 months from concept to tray.
Qatar Airways and Singapore Airlines have consultations with a team of renowned chefs from all over the globe to create meals for their passengers. While air carriers such as Japan Airlines and Brussel Airlines have partnered with top chefs to offer dishes reminiscent of the culinary creations from their five-star restaurants.

Although first class and business class passengers are the primary recipients of these celebrity chef creations, economy class passengers can start looking forward to meals akin to a fine dining experience as well.
Thai Airways is one airline which has been commended for providing some of the best meals for economy class passengers.
