Henry Rollins Apologizes for Suicide Article

The former front man of Black Flag, Henry Rollins, apologized publicly after writing and publishing a contentious article about suicide in lieu to the death of Robin Williams.

On previous reports, Henry Rollins was said to have written an article he entitled '[Expletive] Suicide!' which was published on the LA Weekly, causing the public to react negatively. The rock star was then showered with criticism especially after he included Robin Williams in the piece.

In the article that the Black Flag vocalist wrote, he questioned how someone like Robin Williams - well-paid, Oscar-winning - could have a 'bad day' in his life.

The rock star has also stated that he doesn't understand how anyone could commit suicide and bring grief to people around, particularly one's children. He has stated in his article that a person has the responsibility to be there for his/her children the moment they decide to have a family.

"I don't care how well adjusted your kid might be, choosing to kill yourself, rather than to be there for that child, is every shade of awful, traumatic and confusing," Henry Rollin wrote on his column.

The statements that the singer released through his column was not met with any good feedback as he had been criticized for what he wrote and has, in turn, written an apology for his comments via his personal website.

According to the written apology, the singer acknowledges that he has caused a lot of hurt from all the things he said and that he himself felt disgusted about it. He mentioned that it wasn't his intention, but admitted to the consequences.

He has not presented any kind of excuse in his apology, but he stated that he was deeply sorry for what he had to say about the matter regarding Robin Williams and other people who were victims of suicide.
