While many fans of "NCIS" season 13 have been awaiting some good news relative to the return of Cote de Pablo's Ziva David, recent speculations hinted that their request may finally happen.

As the CBS series is set to air its 300^th episode on March 15, a number of its followers could have been optimistic about seeing the 36-year-old actress getting reunited with Michael Weatherly, who plays the role of Special Agent Tony DiNozzo, her love interest in the show.

It can be noted that the TV Line poll results showed that 28 percent of its respondents revealed that they would like to see the two characters being together once again before the 47-year-old actor bids farewell to the TV show which he has been a part of for 13 years.

Should the "NCIS" season 13 production decide to have Cote de Pablo's Ziva David back, it may mean that the team opted to listen to the audience's clamor.

In an interview, "NCIS" showrunner Gary Glasberg declared, "We're really trying to give everybody something that leaves them satisfied."

"You can't have Tony leave the show and not get into that in some respect so plan on it being discussed and handled, even if it's in background," the executive producer said about the unending rumors of the actress' possible re-appearance.

In the meantime, apart from the reunion of Cote de Pablo's Ziva David and Weatherly's DiNozzo in "NCIS" season 13, Glasberg also disclosed that finding the right exit for the latter is a "huge deal."

He even admitted that "I've been literally thinking about it for six months now.... Lots of planning."
