Guangzhou Evergrande started off the second half with the same intensity that they displayed in the first half. The Guangzhou team scored their third goal in the 51st minute, when Gao Lin headed the ball into the net.
The Changchun team made some good counter attacks and piled consistent pressure on Guangzhou. However, they missed several goal scoring opportunities.
The match finally ended 3-0, with Guangzhou Evergrande taking all three points. The emphatic victory took Guangzhou Evergrande to the eighth position in the league table.
In other results, Shanghai SIPG had to contend with a draw in their match against Shanghai East (1-1). The draw means that Shanghai SIPG are still winless in Chinese Super league this season.
Tim Cahill's Hangzhou Greentown lost to Shijiazhuang Ever Bright 1-0, while current league leader Jiangsu Suning defeated Yanbian funde 2-1.
Jiangsu Suning and Henan Jianye are the only two teams to have won both their opening matches. Jiangsu is on top of the table by virtue of superior goal difference.
