Meizu's Vice President for sales Li Nan has confirmed that the company's 2016 flagship device - the Meizu Pro 6 - will not have 2k display. Adding to the user's disappointment, Pro 6 will not feature the Exynos 8890 as well.
Nan explained to a fan that the 2k display takes too much power and the Exynos 8890 does not have full network support, according to Gizchina.com on Monday.

The Exynos 8890 was expected to be used to power the Pro 6 with 2.3 GHz of clock speed. The device comes with 4 to 6 gigabytes of RAM. Two versions of the device were first univeiled with 64 and 128 gigabytes of internal memory. The camera packs 21 megapixels with dual LED flash.
The 2k display was first seen by users in the Meizu MK4, which was released in September 2014. Meizu's flagship device last year - Pro 5 - boasts 3 and 4 gigabytes of RAM with 32 and 64 gigabytes of memory respectively.
The Pro 6 comes with 1080p display and an octa core Exynos 7420. However, fans are still wondering which processor will be used for the device. There are speculations that the Pro 6 will feature the Snapdragon 820 processor with 6 gigabytes of RAM and Android 6.0 Marshmallow based Flyme. This will level Pro 6 with the latest Vivo Xplay 5 and Samsung Galaxy S6.
There are also rumors that the Pro 6 will come with a pressure sensitive screen and finger print security. Fast charging technology and full network support will come with the package.
The price and specification of the Meizu Pro 6 has not been confirmed. The device is expected to be released in the third or fourth quarter of this year.
