Chinese smartphone manufacturer Alcatel seems to be planning to launch a new device very soon. An upcoming Alcatel device has been spotted on the GFXBench benchmarking website. The device called the Alcatel Flash Plus 2 is more likely to be the successor of last year's Alcatel Flash Plus.

As per the listing on GFXBench, the Alcatel Flash Plus 2 smartphone will feature a 4.6-inch display screen that has five finger touch support and 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. The device is powered by a 1.8 GHz Mediatek MT6755 octa-core processor paired with 2 GB of RAM. The Flash Plus 2 comes with a built-in 16GB internal storage - up to 10GB will be reserved for the user's desired install apps. The handset features Arm Mali T860 GPU and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

As per the benchmark listing, the Alcatel Flash Plus 2 cameras has a 12-megapixel autofocus rear shooter with LED flash in its back panel and a 7-megapixel camera on the front suitable for clear selfie images and video calling purposes. The smartphone is fueled with a non-removable Li-Ion 3000 mAh capacity battery.

Other features the smartphone has to offer include Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, and a Micro USB port. As per the listing, the device has a barometer, accelerometer, light, proximity and gyroscope sensors as well. Once the smartphone is officially released in the market, it will come in Volcanic Grey and Mica White color options.
