Flopped English Premier League defending champions Chelsea FC is reportedly joining fellow English top flight giants Manchester United and Arsenal in the battle for the services of Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimović this summer.
Metro reported that the Stamford Bridge residents are "ready to rival" the Old Trafford and Emirates Stadium residents "to seal the transfer" of the 34-year-old Swedish sensation, who is in the final season of his contract with the reigning and four straight Ligue 1 champions.

Recent reports are out that Ibrahimović is keen on leaving the French capital in the summer after his contract with Les Parisiens expires.
The Red Devils and Gunners had long been the top two favorites to snag Ibrahimović from PSG even as he had also attracted attention from teams in the Major League Soccer of the United States and the Chinese Super League out in Asia. However, with the addition of the Blues in the potential destinations of the Sweden national team skipper, it seems like the top two became a top three.
Caught Offside noted that despite his advancing age, Ibrahimović had shown no signs of slowing down and had even surpassed his goalscoring production from last season's same title-winning campaign in the French top flight with 27 goals in 24 appearances this season.
Last season, when PSG won its third consecutive Ligue 1 trophy, the 6-foot-5 Malmö, Sweden native scored 19 times in 24 domestic games.
Ibrahimović had been with Les Rouge-et-Bleu for four seasons to date, all ending with the domestic title, appearing in a total of 167 games in all competitions and scoring 141 goals in the process, cementing his status as one of the best scorers in football during this era.
Ibrahimović had also suited up for other world-class football clubs in the past such as Juventus FC, Inter Milan, AC Milan, and FC Barcelona, all of which had been successful stints especially in the aspect of goal scoring.
Chelsea is currently at the 10th spot of the Premier League table and had enjoyed success late in the season with interim head coach Guus Hiddink, although their title aspirations for this season has already been extinguished.
