So far, there are four countries that are experiencing an Ebola outbreak - Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria and Sierra Leone.

According to officials, as of August 21, there were 1,350 deaths so far caused by the virus.

Gillian Steelfisher from Harvard University said that news like this could cause people to be concerned that an Ebola Outbreak can occur in the US.

Despite this, Steelfisher believes that when the media and public health officials report about Ebola related events they should also give information about the virus.

The survey revealed that 68 percent of Americans believe that Ebola Virus can spread easily from people sick from the disease.

Health experts from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention and World Health Organization also want to clarify that Ebola is not an airborne disease.

It can be transmitted through direct contact with infected bodily fluids, objects and animals, they added.

The survey also showed that 33 percent of Americans believe that there is an effective medicine to treat people who have was infected with the virus.

However, health experts denied this stating that there has been no proven anti-viral medicine that could treat Ebola.

Treating symptoms like maintaining fluids, and maintaing the ideal oxygen levels and blood pressure, can increase the odds of survival, they added.

To date, CDC would want to clarify to the public that there has still been no reports of an Ebola Outbreak in the United States.
