Google has doubled its cash prize offer to $100,000 for anyone who can hack Chromebook over the Internet.
To prove that Google has cleverly invested more than $6 million in hiring security researchers to keep its walls safe, the company has increased its big bounty prize to $100,000 to anyone who can crack or report a security issue.

"That said, great research deserves great awards, so we're putting up a standing six-figure sum, available all year round with no quotes and no maximum reward pool," the firm declared.
On Monday, the tech giant announced that it has expanded its Chrome Reward Program, which began in 2010, and included two new changes: increasing the cash reward for Chromebooks and putting an additional bounty.
Google has reportedly extended its program and included rewards for attacks on its Safe Browsing technology, which is offering Chrome users safety over unknown and malicious URLS and other unwanted applications on the web.
Dubbed as the Download Protection Bypass, the new bounty amounts to $1,000 for those who could report successfully bypassing its feature. This means that security should flag as users try to download malicious contents and give users options to discard or keep the file.
Meanwhile, Google has also set some criteria over its latest $100,000 challenge. First, hackers are only allowed to pull the hack over the Internet. Intruders are prohibited to have physical access over the device as this only makes the process easier.
Hackers should also successfully achieve a compromise on Google's Chromebook in guest mode, which is a lock down state meant for device sharing. Guest mode basically offers protections to owners against hackers who are attempting to illegally access Chrome profiles. It also ensures that at the end of the session, all browser data and cookies are removed.
Lastly, codes used by the participants should remain on the device even if it has been rebooted and should successfully affect guest mode sessions.
