Disney's Zootopia has enjoyed an awesome performance on China's box office since its opening day. But will it be successful in dethroning Kung Fu Panda 3 as the top-grossing film in the country.
The 2016 animated adventure film about animals, which was released on March 4, recorded a sales of $112.6 million, as of this Sunday.

Despite its remarkable performance, Zootopia is still behind Dreamworks' Kung Fu Panda 3 and the local Chinese film Monkey King: Hero Is Back, which raked in $152.2 million and $147.1 million in China's box office, respectively.
It is only ten days since Zootopia's release in China. Therefore, there is yet a possibility that it will realize its bid to become the all-time record holder for being the mainland's most-watched animated film.
Zootopia has been on top of the US box office for two weeks in a row since it hit the theaters early this month.
According to ABC News, it has already raked in more than $142 million.
From Friday until Sunday, the Disney project earned $50 million, while J.J. Abrams-produced 10 Cloverfield Lane got the second spot with $25.2 million in earnings on the first day.
Meanwhile, Deadpool came in third following its ticket sales of $10.8 million.
Given Zootopia's current momentum, do you think it will be successful in snatching the title of China's highest-grossing animated flick?
