Italian Serie A club AS Roma wants a transfer fee of £35 million from English Premier League side Chelsea FC for the services of its current center back standout Kostas Manolas, recent reports say.
The Sun reported that Roma team officials have rejected an initial £26 million offered by last season's English top flight winners to snag the 24-year-old Greek defender from the Italian capital city, saying that they want £9 million more for them to agree on a transfer move.

The report also said that Chelsea wants "the no-nonsense defender who can play centre-half or right-back, as they look to rebuild their team post John Terry".
Caugh Offside noted that "It remains to be seen whether Chelsea and Roma can ultimately draw closer on a valuation for the player" as the two sides are still reviewing their options in preparation for the opening of this year's summer transfer window.
Chelsea team captain John Terry is reportedly keen on leaving the Stamford Bridge residents in the summer and so the Blues are scrambling to find a suitable replacement for the 35-year-old living legend.
There were also rumors that incoming Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte wants his former Juventus player, Leonardo Bonucci, to take Terry's role in the team next season, although there were no indications whether the veteran Italian center back would be more affordable than Manolas, who is four years younger than the Juve defender.
Manolas was signed by Roma in the summer of 2014 from Superleague Greece club Olympiacos FC for a fee of €15 million.
The Blues are said to be determined to redeem themselves from the debacle of this season after capturing the English Premier League trophy last year and the team is hoping that current Italian national team manager Conte, who is said to be leaving his post after the Euro 2016 games, will bring the club the change it needed to bounce back next season.
