Former Strikeforce featherweight champion Gina Carano insists on fighting UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey at 135 pounds.

In a recent interview at the UFC Macau post-fight press conference and scrums, Rousey stated that she thinks fighting Carano at 135 is perfect, adding that she was perfectly comfortable and in peak condition at that weight class.

She went on to say that Carano was the worst style match up for her, citing the distancing, timing, mobility, and knockout power as several reasons.

Rousey sees Carano as the biggest challenge she has had to face yet, and that it would be an honor to face the woman who put Women's MMA on the map.

It seems that Carano also prefers fighting one weight class below what she usually fought at. She had had trouble making weight in the previous occasions of her fighting career.

When Carano was asked about returning to the fight game, she mentioned that she missed fighting 100 percent and that she was "kinda considering it."

While the potential superfight would be an event that could break sales and pay-per-view records, Carano has not trained for a fight in over 5 years and will be returning to an evolved fighting game at 32 years old.

UFC President Dana White has stated that they are close to signing Carano, after hearing that rival promotion Bellator had reached out to her to join their featherweight roster, but declined and expressed more of an interest to fight at bantamweight.

Carano's last fight was against Brazilian juggernaut, Cristiane "Cyborg" Justino who took the featherweight belt. The fight was soon overturned though when Justino tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs.

Since then, Carano has traded the canvas for the red carpet, starring in blockbuster films such as Fast and the Furious 6, Haywire, and In the Blood.
