Not even the league's most dominant team could stand on its way as the sizzling San Antonio Spurs kept their home game record unblemished against the Golden State Warriors. All-Star LaMarcus Aldridge finished the game with a spectacular double-double performance of 26 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Spurs to overpower the defending champion Golden State Warriors with an 87-79 victory at the AT&T Center on Saturday evening.

The Spurs held the Warriors to their season-low point total and their 33rd loss at San Antonio's hard wood during the regular season since 1997.
"They're a great team, they're the bar in the NBA and it just felt good to win tonight," Aldridge, who went 11 for 25 from the field and made a perfect 4 of 4 from the foul line, said.
Starters Kawhi Leonard had 18 points and 14 rebounds. Danny Green, who did a remarkable job in guarding Stephen Curry, contributed 10 points, four boards and three blocked shots for the Spurs. With the win, the San Antonio tean is tied for the second-longest streak in NBA history with the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls winning 44 straight at home in the regular season, dating back to March 2015.
Curry was limited to just 14 points in a 4 of 18 shooting clip and missing 11 of his 12 attempts from the three-point marker.
"Tonight we executed well on the defensive end, but offensively I didn't allow us to get comfortable offensively," Curry, who was relentlessly harassed by Green during the game, said. "I've got to play a lot better, manage the game a lot better, especially if certain shots that I normally make aren't falling. You've got to be able to adjust and find different ways to impact the way."
The game entered the final period with both teams scoring 65 points. The Spurs managed to control the fourth quarter by limiting the Warriors to just 14 points, while they poured in 22 points to seal the victory.
