NBA Recap: Miami Heat Rout Cleveland Cavaliers, Dwyane Wade Hits 20,000 Career Points

Miami Heat crushed the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers with an easy 122-101 victory at the AmericanAirlines Arena on Saturday night.

"I've been through a lot of adversity," Wade, who is Miami's all-time leading scorer, said."I've had a lot of injuries in my career that a lot of people would never have come back from - and I have, and I continue to keep going, 13 years later. And I thank my teammates, the ones that are here and the ones that aren't here, because to get 20,000-plus points you've got to shoot a lot of shots."

Wade went 10 for 17 from the field and made a perfect 4 for 4 from the foul line. He got plenty of offensive support from his teammates with rookie Josh Richardson contributing 19 points including 4 out 6 from the three-point range.

Starters Joe Johnson and Goran Dragic scored 18 points apiece with Dragic dishing out 11 assists. Hassan Whiteside finished the night with a double-double production of 16 points and 13 rebounds for the Heat, who have won seven of their last ten games.

Miami ended the first half of the game leading 65-44 and continued to demonstrate ittheir s game dominance over the Cavaliers with a 33-26 run in the third quarter to enter the final period with a huge lead of 28 points 98-70.

The Heat maintained their good offense during the fourth quarter pounding Cleveland with a 9-4 charge to establish a hulking 33-point margin 107-74 with 8:51 minutes left to play.

LeBron James had 26 points for Cleveland, who three of the last ten games, and sat out the final 15 minutes. Reserve Richard Jefferson added 20 and starting guard Kyrie Irving scored 14 for the Eastern Conference leading team.
