Contrary to previous reports claiming that PlayStation 5 might just be out towards the end of this year, latest rumors hinted about a later release date, instead.

Another speculation that might have burned the excitement being felt by a lot of gamers was the one stating that it could just be a streaming device and not really a gaming console.

 While it has already been known that AMD will be coming up with a powerful graphic and processor chips for the upcoming Sony device, the most recent report by N4BB suggested that PS5 would only be announced in five to seven years' time.

However, amid these rumors, Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter revealed a much earlier release date for Sony PlayStation 5.

According to him, it could already be available for gaming enthusiasts by 2019 or 2020.

In the meantime, the latest report disclosed that the anticipated device from the Japanese multinational company will not be a full-fledged gaming console, but only a streaming device.

It was theorized that as a streaming device, it will come as a pocket-sized PlayStation which can be used by simply plugging in to a television set with internet capability. This means that a gamer just needs to have an internet connection to finally begin streaming games.

On the other hand, the latest Sony PlayStation 5 gaming device rumors further explained that despite not having an official release date yet, the future of gaming, wherein no disk drivers or storage are needed, may possibly start with it. Thus, PS5 might just be the new benchmark.
