Gionee S8 Smartphone Gets TENAA Certification

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Gionee has announced that its upcoming flagship smartphone called the S8 has been certified by China's telecommunication equipment certification authority, TENAA.
Gionee is a well-known brand in some Asian countries. The company has unveiled its Elife E8 flagship phablet last year as well as a number of big battery 'Marathon' devices. This year, the company is again back in the industry to introduce good quality smartphones.

In terms of the specification of the device, the Gionee S8 smartphone is made out of metallic casing and sports really competitive specifications. The device features a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) AMOLED display screen paired with 4 GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with a built-in 64GB internal storage, which can be further expanded via a microSD card.
The Gionee S8 smartphone is powered by the mid-range MediaTek Helio P10 64-bit octa-core processor and a 3,000 mAh capacity battery on board. With regards to the phone's camera, the S8 has a 16-megapixel snapper (PDAF included) main shooter, and supports dual SIM card slots. What makes this device more interesting is that it has a pressure sensitive display screen - despite the fact this is not exactly a high-end device.
The Gionee S8 will be running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system along with Amigo OS 3.2 user interface on top of it. The OS for the Gionee S8 smartphone offers numerous features, such as being able to detect text from images.
The release date for the Gionee S8 smartphone is still unknown.
