A Chinese couple has decided to live in their mobile home so that their son will get more sleep in preparation for his final-year examinations.
The student, named Xiao Mao, used to travel for about half an hour from his home to his junior high school in Jiaxing, Zhejiang province, according to Thepaper.cn.

Although the amount of time could be considered short, Xiao usually starts school very early and finishes quite late. Because of this, his father, identified only as Mao, came to the conclusion that living near the school will give him more time to sleep.
Mao and his wife talked to Xiao and asked for his opinion regarding living in their mobile home so that he could prepare for his final-year exams. Xiao agreed, and for almost a month now, they have been living inside their mobile home which is parked just outside the school.
This decision by the family meant that Xiao will have an additional two hours of sleep each night – an amount of time that he could not have if he travels to and from the school.
The whole family goes back to their home in east China every Friday, and stay there to prepare whatever they will need for the following week, including food. They reportedly return to park the mobile home outside the school on Sunday evenings.
People's Reactions
Xiao Mao's family has received much attention because of their decision, both from the school area and in social media.
In a public poll hosted by social media website Weibo, several respondents said they don't support such a move because it might possibly spoil their children.
Mao disagreed, however, and said that he and his wife only showed love and support to their son. They also solicited for his opinion before they decided to continue with the move.
The report said that Mao and his family often travel around the country in their mobile home when their schedule is not busy. But despite the constant travels, Xiao Mao still gets good grades and has even achieved top marks in the last school examinations.
