Apple, Inc. has announced its iPad 12.9-inch model will go into production in the first quarter of 2015.
Some reports say Apple's suppliers are readying its version of the iPad with a 12.9-inch screen.
The Cupertino-based company said earlier this year they're targeting the enterprise market to boost iPad sales after these were hit by a sales decline in two quarters.

Currently, Apple sells 9.7- and 7.9-inch models.
Jefferson Wang, senior partner at IBB Consulting, said the 12.9-inch tablet is aimed at the enterprise market.
Tablets under 10-inch are needed when working on data or manipulating spreadsheets.
"A business-ready tablet, if you will, at a price point lower than a thousand dollars could be interesting," Wang added.
Apple isn't the only tech company launching with larger-screen tablets.
Microsoft launched the Surface Pro 3 with a 12-inch screen.
In spring, Samsung unveiled its two tablets with 12.2-inch screens.
Fuhu will start selling tablets with 20- and 24-inch screen this coming fall.
Meanwhile, Apple plans to update its 9.7-inch iPad model and iPad Mini in time the holiday shopping season.
Apple hasn't commented on the new version of the iPad.
