Shanghai Disneyland will start pre-selling its tickets almost 11 weeks before the much anticipated date, to counter long line and fake tickets.

Walt Disney's $5.5-billion theme park in Shanghai will begin selling tickets on March 28 at 12:01 am via various ticketing outlets including the resort's official website at shanghaidisneyresort.com; Alibaba-owned travel site Alitrip; and through phone at Shanghai Disney Resort reservation center.

Tickets available come in regular pricing at 370 yuan ($56) and peak pricing, for high-demand dates, at 499 yuan. Opening day pricing (between June 16 and 30) is at 499 yuan.

Meanwhile, the Shanghai Disney Resort hotels will also begin accepting hotel booking on March 28. The resort will open its magical doors on June 16.

However, Shanghai Disneyland will most likely limit the number of visitors to ensure the safety of other guests, according to Chris Yoshii, AECOM Hong Kong's vice president and global director of leisure Asia.

"Once the capacity is reached, the park will need to close its gates to more visitors," Yoshii said. "It's possible that people may arrive at the park and not be able to get in. The city should help maintain order and inform people of the situation."

In addition, special discounts will be given for children, senior citizens and visitors with disabilities. And children whose height is 1 meter or below will be granted free access. Two-day tickets also come at a discounted price.

Surely Chinese netizens are excited to get their first-hand experience in Shanghai's Disneyland as the newest theme park is not only filled with Disney's legendary storytelling adventures but also China's rich culture. It also promises to sport "some of the most creative and innovative experiences ... ever created."
