Fire in South China Kills 3, Injures 21, Investigation Ongoing

Three people were killed while 21 were injured in a fire in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
Residents of a village in Jiangnan district, Nanning were awoken by a fire early Saturday morning. Nanning is the capital city of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
The fire started at 1:55 am on April 2. More than 60 firefighters and 12 fire engines had to be summoned to stop the fire.

The fire happened in a six-storey brick residential building. A photo of the structure after the fire showed that the lower floors were more charred, suggesting that the source of the fire may have been from the first to third floor.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
