Five straight China top flight champions Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao FC (1-1-0, 3 points) will try to build their first winning run of the young season as they clash with neighborhood rivals Guangzhou R&F FC (1-1-0, 3 points) for a 2016 Chinese Super League derby at the Tianhe Stadium on April 1st, Friday.

Guangzhou Evergrande, also a two-time AFC Champions League winning club, dropped their opening game of the season to lowly Chongqing Lifan, 1-2, earlier this month before they redeemed themselves with a 3-0 shellacking of Changchun Yatai on March 12th also at their home field of Tianhe Stadium, as per Soccerway.

Former Atletico Madrid striker Jackson Martinez scored again in his second consecutive CSL game for Luiz Felipe Scolari's squad to open the floodgates right at the seventh minute of the match.

The 29-year-old Colombia international also scored during their loss to Chongqing to make it 2 goals in 2 appearances in the China first division competitions.

Blue Lions midfielder Wang Song scored the lone goal of the game for manager Dragan Stojković's team as they gained their first victory of the new season.

Both Guangzhou teams have identical records but the defending champions are higher in the standings because of their superior goal difference value.

The predicted result is a 3-1 romp for Guangzhou Evergrande.
