Los Angeles Lakers rookie guard D'Angelo Russell has apologized for recording an unflattering video of teammate Nick Young that went viral on social media. He admitted that his actions have created "a bad vibe" in the team.
"I am sick," Russell told The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski on Wednesday night. "I am sorry about recording the video. I can't repeat myself enough on that: I am sorry I recorded that video. I feel horrible. I wish this never happened."

The 20-year-old greenhorn also admitted that the video might have jeopardized Young's relationship with pop star Iggy Azalea, the latter's fiancée.
In his video, Russell was asking Young about being with women other than Azalea.
Prior to the video scandal, Young and Azalea's wedding had been already put on hold. The Australian rapper posted an intriguing remark on her Twitter account: "hmmm i see D Angelo Russell is trending... I actually liked his film. Thanks bro."
Russell could not explain how the said video went out of the public, claiming he did not post it on any social media or send it to any of his friends.
Lakers head coach Byron Scott has noted that the incident is likely to affect the club's trust in Russell, who is a pillar of the teams' rebuilding effort. The 55-year-old veteran bench tactician has publicly questioned Russell's maturity level, even before the controversial video drama broke out publicly.
The video is just the latest gaudy mistake by a lineup that sits 29th spot in the overall NBA team standings, surpassing only the bottom-low Philadelphia 76ers.
Earlier this month, Young and starting guard Jordan Clarkson were embarrassed when a woman claimed they had made inappropriate, harassing gestures at her while their cars were stopped at a traffic light in Hollywood. The players described the incident as "a miscommunication."
