Gamers can now purchase Kinect for Xbox One separately for US$150.
Microsoft said it'll sell the Kinect standalone starting October 7.
The price and availability of standalone Xbox One Kinect in United Kingdom and Australia aren't known yet.
Kinect comes with the new Harmonix game, Dance Central Spotlight, the ho-hum Kinect Sports Rivals and the flat-out-bad Fighter Within, as well.

Aside from that, the standalone Kinect has a library with the Just Dance 2015 and the Harmonix/Disney collaboration Fantasia: Music Evolved.
Kinect allows users to use Skype and provides convenient voice controls
In November 2013, Microsoft launched the Xbox One games console for US$500 while Sony's PS4 was US$100 cheaper and Nintendo's Wii U was more than US$150 to US$200 cheaper.
Fans of Xbox One rejoiced when Microsoft dropped the price tag of Xbox One without the Kinect to US$400. Originally, Xbox was US$500 with the Kinect bundle.
Kinect won't add sizzle to upcoming hottest games like Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Sunset Overdrive, Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Forza Horizon 2. These games work fine without Kinect.
So, the new announcement from Microsoft apparently lets gamers pay an extra US$50 for the Kinect instead of pushing the discount.
