Yesterday, WeChat launched its new version with additional functions and payment options. It indicates the social media with five hundred million customers has changed to a commercial application.

When the new version showed up in the App store, it stimulated a large wave of download and installation. When people opened the new WeChat, they had to play a flight game first. It is a main modification that the customers can play games in WeChat right now. There two free games. WeChat will add extra paid tools and paid service in the future. The commercial approach gets some complaints from the customers that they have to pay for additional fees. Six sets of different emoticons are ¥6 yuan for each.
For business owners it is good news that WeChat has payment access for the new version, especially for the electric commercial vendors and service providers. Customers can pay directly.
Why is WeChat so careful for commercial plan? The founder of ikeji123.com Luo Chao has his own thoughts. The Apple controls almost all the payment methods for their iPhone users. The iPhone users download thousands free applications from the app store, including the WeChat. If the WeChat users want to purchase the games and the emoticons, they still have to go through the app store. Apple will charge the WeChat amount of money for each order. It is the logic of Apple Company that they won't release the payment access. The WeChat payment does not work for them.
Secondly, the public account of WeChat posted three messages every day to all its customers, later they only sent one message, and now they can only send the news to the customers who follow them, because customers hate ads. WeChat took the commercial step very carefully and tried not to bother the customers.
