Both Activision and Treyarch have announced the second expansion pack called Eclipsed for “Call of Duty: Black Ops III,” revealing its contents and April release date.
Following the first expansion known as the Awakening DLC, Eclipse will offer add-on materials for the wildly popular futuristic first-person shooter game. It is set to release on April 19 for PlayStation 4 and it will be available as well for PC and Xbox One with a date to follow soon. The upcoming expansion will feature new chapter in the zombies’ story and portray a re-imagined the “Call of Duty: World” at War map called Banzai.

Eclipse will also contain four separate multiplayer maps. The new areas included for the title’s online multiplayer are called Spire, Rift, Knockout, and Verge.
Spire sees players running and gunning around a sub-orbital airport terminal. Multiple levels and open areas promote intense in the game. There is also a mid-range combat around a clean, high-tech civilian environment.
Knockout is described as Chinese-themed map. It features traditional Shaolin temple with a retro twist, offering a bloody Kung Fu tournament. Players can find a disco room with a disco ball, where they can bust a move and then move onto the rooftops.
The Rift features a high-tech military complex where players will have to deal with a suspended rail system, corridors, funnels and tunnels. Rift funnels and forces tight, intense engagements, where the only way through is forward.
In Verge, it is considered as re-imagination of the classic “Call of Duty: World at War” map, which is Banzai. Players can control the key bridge, fortresses, tunnel systems and waterfalls. They can also engage in high-speed action.
The “Call of Duty: Black Ops III” Eclipse DLC Map Pack is available at a discounted rate via the “Call of Duty: Black Ops III” DLC Season Pass at $50, or an individual price of $15.
Activision also announced that there will be Awakening map pack’s PS3 release date. However, there will be no Xbox 360 or PS3 versions of the Eclipse expansion pack.
