Recent rumors have emerged that Liverpool's flop striker Mario Balotelli, now playing on loan with AC Milan, is considering a move to the Chinese Super League in the summer as Jiangsu Suning is reportedly interested in his services.

Sports Mole cited local Italian newspapers that the 25-year-old Palermo, Italy native is "set for a big-money summer move to the Chinese Super League" as emerging CSL club Jiangsu Suning is "interested in taking him off Liverpool's hands".

The report continued that Balotelli's and Jiangsu's representatives have already discussed the possibility of a summer transfer during Easter Sunday, allegedly amounting to as much as an £11.8 million a season in compensation, although no official reports were out yet.

Jiangsu, who is no stranger to splashing cash in order to sign their targets, has already broken the Chinese transfer record twice during the last winter transfer window. The team first snagged Brazilian midfielder Ramires from Chelsea for £25 million and then acquired another Brazilian, winger Alex Teixeira, from Shakhtar Donetsk for £38 million, which is the current record, as per The Sun.

Another CSL club, five-time champions Guangzhou Evergrande, secured the services of Colombian and former Atletico Madrid striker Jackson Martinez in February also for a record-breaking deal of £31 million.

Former Arsenal and Roma striker Gervinho also reportedly tripled his salary after joining newly-promoted China top flight squad Hebei China Fortune also in January for a fee of £13.5 million.

With the latest inflow of world-class foreign players in China, it is highly probable that Balotelli could find his way there to redeem himself from the broken expectations in Europe.

Meanwhile, the Liverpool Echo noted that aside from Jiangsu, clubs from Turkey had also "fielded interest" in the Italy international as the Reds are said to be hoping to recoup "most of the £16 million they paid Milan for his signature in August 2014".
