Renowned Hong Kong singer Andy Hui was said to have publicly referred to his girlfriend singer-actress Sammi Cheng as his wife as a response to the ongoing rumor that they had a 'husband and wife' relationship.

Previous reports say that Andy Hui and his long-time girlfriend Sammi Cheng has secretly gotten married in Bali the previous month. However, this rumor was refuted by the heir manager, saying that the couple hasn't gotten married yet, but they do have plans to tie the knot soon.

Their manager has also stated that the 42-year old singer has already successfully made his proposal to Sammi Cheng. The trip to Bali which the public had speculated to be the two artists supposed marriage was only a celebration which they've shared together with their families.

When Andy Hui was asked about his plans regarding their upcoming marriage, all the singer had to say was that they were planning to get married after William So's marriage.

Andy Hui was also said to have been travelling back and forth to Bali in order to prepare for their wedding ceremony as an effort to give Sammi her dream wedding.

According to reports, Andy Hui and Sammi Cheng started dating each other back in 1991, but they broke up in 2004. The couple was said to have gotten back together in 2011.

Sammi Cheng is known for her love for cooking and Andy stated that he was happy whenever the singer-actress cooks meals for him. He has also shared that he turns down dinner dates whenever Sammi says she will be cooking for him.

Regarding his career and future plans, he said that though he has hard time understanding the Chinese language, Cantonese being his mother language, he will be releasing an album this year in Chinese.

Despite reports that the actor will be starring in movies, he said that he didn't have any intention to neglect his career as a singer.
