August 6th, Japan presents double-faced appearances to the international community. Today is the 68th anniversary of the atomic bombing in Hiroshima. Japan held a somber ceremony to honor the dead and pledges to seek to eliminate unclear weapons. While at the same time, Izumo, Japan's largest warship since World War II was unveiled in Yokohama, the second largest city in Japan.

The warship named "Izumo" is 248 meters long with a full load displacement of 27,000 tonnes. Though the warship looks like an aircraft carrier and sounds like an aircraft carrier, but Japan insists it is just a "flat-topped destroyer". However, many analysts consider the giant warship that can carry up to 14 helicopters at one time as an aircraft carrier.
The name "Izumo" once was used by Japanese armored cruisers in the Sino-Japanese War. The Izumo-class armored cruisers acted as the flagship of the China Area Fleet based out of Shanghai, China. When the Pacific War began, they were equipped with some anti-aircraft weapons nevertheless to serve as training ships.
As for Japan's action, China's National Defense Ministry News Business Bureau said in an interview: "China attaches high attention to Japan's arms expansion. Asian countries and international community should maintain high vigilance to Japan's tendency. Japan should take history as a mirror." As Japan is banned from all military actions apart from self-defense and humanitarian aid under the terms of the constitution imposed on it by the U.S. after the Second World War, it should deliver its promise to adhere to peaceful development.
However, it seems "taking history as a mirror" is becoming more and more difficult for Japan. According to Japan media, Japanese government has drafted a declaration to attempt a proposition for Rising Sun flag, which is a symbol of militarism. The news has provoked anger among some Asia countries.
