Beyonce and Jay Z's daughter, Blue Ivy, has been the topic of a joke which was televised during BET's '106&Park' show. The segment was entitled "Top Six Things Blue Ivy Thought At The VMAs" and they made fun of the little girl's hair.
A source from BET said that the producer of the segment was suspended. The source's name was not mentioned because the matter was not supposed to be discussed in public. BET has not given an official announcement regarding this.

The president of music programming and specials of BET, Stephen Hill, has issued a public apology on his Twitter account. He tweeted: "Last night on 106 & Park there was a stupid, unthoughtful joke made about a young child. It was very bad judgment and we will serve you much better in the future." Hill also said that he publicly and privately reached out to Bey and Jay to apologize.
Hill added that people should not hate on Karrueche Tran since it was not her fault and they apologized to her for putting her into such situation.
Tran has been bashed since she was the one who read the script but she admitted she made a mistake and was also taken aback. She read her lines as if she was Blue saying, "I really did wake up like this, because my parents never comb my hair." Tran immediately apologized right after she said her line saying "Sorry Blue! I love you!" A montage of Blue Ivy was shown on the background.
Tran was dragged into the situation and has been getting death wishes from the fan base of Beyonce called "BeyHive". Tran has blamed the producers of the show saying they used her as an instrument to tell the joke. The fans have not taken this lightly and Tran issued two public apologies about what she has done.
Tran co-hosted the segment on August 25, 2014 just a day after the VMAs.
