As "Captain America: Civil War" gears up for May its opening, fans are now asking how the conflict in the film will impact on the relationship of characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
One such relationship that followers are interested in is that of Scarlet Witch and Vision who will be forced to take sides in the titanic battle between Captain America and Iron Man.

Based on the comic book's story line, the two are romantically linked and eventually got married.
But the big question is: will that also happen on the big screen?
According to Elizabeth Olsen, the answer may be in the affirmative. However, there's a caveat: events in the comic and the movie may not share the same story line.
In an interview with ET Online, Olsen revealed that the two "Captain America: Civil War" characters will develop a connection with each other.
Unfortunately, this relationship may be less than romantic, as the two will more likely find a kindred spirit with the other.
"You learn a little bit more about what connects [Scarlet and Vision] in this film," Olsen shared.
"And I think there's some really sweet moments between Paul and I, and it's more about how they relate to one another and their similarities just based on their superpowers," she added.
The reason for the disconnect between events in comic book and movie is Marvel's decision to slightly alter the story arc in the film, particularly the backstories of Vision and Scarlet Witch.
This tact may actually work well especially for the two characters in the MCU, as they have a lot of things in common despite their physical differences.
In the movie version as well as in the comics, Vision is an entirely artificial creation, while Wanda Maximoff a.k.a. Scarlet Witch is human.
Moreover, Wanda received her powers through scientific experiments conducted by Hyrdra.
As the "new" heroes on the MCU block, they may in fact have a lot more going between them than most of the other Avengers.
But we all know that these "Captain America: Civil War" characters will find themselves on opposite sides of the fence, which will put their friendship - or budding romance - to the test.
