Ahead of the premiere of 'Captain America: Civil War' on April 12, Disney revealed on Tuesday that two new characters have been included in the cast.

Actors Alfre Woodard and Jim Rash are expected to make an appearance during the premiere of the upcoming movie in Los Angeles. Their roles in the action movie has not been confirmed yet. Both actors are part of the cast of Marvel Series 'Luke Cage' on Netflix.

Woodward will appear briefly in the beginning of the movie playing the mother of an American citizen who got killed during the war in Sokovia in the 'Age of Ultron.' Eventually, she will have an encounter with Tony Stark where she blames him for her son's death.

In September 2015, it was announced that Woodard will portray the role of Mariah Dillard in the 'Luke Cage' series. In the story, she is a New York politician caught between 'Cottonmouth' Stokes and Luke Cage, and this will affect her personal life and career.

The role of NBC's 'Community' actor and comedian Jim Rash in 'Captain America: Civil War' has not yet been revealed and it may come as a surprise to fans on the film's official release date.

Woodward's appearance as two separate characters for the film and the Netflix series speaks volumes about the progressing division of the Marvel TV and Marvel Studios. But this not the first time that the company has done such a thing.

Actor Ray Stevenson appeared in 'Thor: The Dark World' as Volstagg and played 'The Punisher,' while Enver Gjokaj was an Agent Daniel Sousa in 'Agent Carter' and a cop in the first 'Avengers.'

Fans will be able to catch a glimpse of the new characters in 'Captain America: Civil War' on May 6. While, the Marvel's 'Luke Cage' series on Netflix is expected to air on September 30.
