(Photo : Reuters) Facebook's newest project Terragraph aims to deliver low-cost, high-speed wireless Internet connection.
Facebook is making its Facebook Live even livelier, more engaging, shareable, and discoverable, by adding more features when broadcasting live videos.
The social networking giant gives more priority to the feature and rolling out features to make it easier for users to search and comment in real time. It allows people to invite specific groups and friends to watch a live video with them.

The company’s latest approach on live videos will compete against Twitter’s Periscope, Snapchat's video features, and Google’s Youtube. It can be a threat as well with broadcast television. Live video is considered as a highly competitive feature among social media services. Various social media sites compete to cover sports and high profile events like SuperBowl and Oscar.
Facebook Live’s new features include a map of video streams around the world and set of emojis for reactions at any point during a live stream. The reactions will appear in real time on the top of the video and disappear quickly, so broadcasters can get an immediate sense of how viewers are feeling during a stream.
During the live streaming, they would be able to add filters to the video such as monochrome or sepia tones. There is also a Replay Comments, which provides more contexts in terms of what is being discussed while the stream is on the air. Comments were being displayed as they happened, making it seem like the viewer is part of the “live” experience.
“We're entering this new golden age of video. I wouldn't be surprised if you fast-forward five years and most of the content that people see on Facebook and are sharing on a day-to-day basis is video,” CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in a statement.
Facebook has been very active in promoting the new product by partnering with media companies to use the service as well. Buzzfed, Vox Media, Time Inc., The New York Times, the Huffington Post, Thomson Reuters, and Conde Nast Entertainment have confirmed partnership with Facebook to use the Live feature.
The company’s Product head Chris Cox said that Facebook hopes that it will help people to connect more deeply with their closest friends, family and the communities of people who share their interests
